IBI’s IB56030 HR-2025 Gel Casting Fixture mates with the HR-2025 UV Transmittant (UVT) Casting Tray (IB56020) to allow a 20cm (wide) x 25cm (long) agarose gel to be poured for use in the HR-2025 High Resolution Horizontal Electrophoresis System (IB56000.) The HR-2025 Gel Casting Fixture, which contains a compressible gasket, mates with the HR-2025 Gel Casting Tray to create a seamless casting system for pouring agarose gels outside of the HR-2025 gel rig. This allows for continual use of the electrophoresis system with no downtime for gel preparations. Once an agarose gel is molded, the casting tray is separated from the casting fixture and placed into the gel system’s buffer tank to run the desired gel.

The HR-2025 Casting Fixture is constructed of durable ¼-inch cast acrylic for years of reliable service without cracking or warping. It contains a compressible gasket for ease of use while pouring gels without any necessary adjustments, leaky gates, or casting tape.

Each HR-2025 High Resolution Horizontal Electrophoresis System (IB56000) comes with one HR-2025 Casting Fixture (IB56030.)
