DTT is used in enzyme preparations to prevent formation of disulfides from sulfhydryl groups. This stabilizes the enzyme.
DTT should be warmed to room temperature before opening.
DTT solutions should be made fresh prior to use. Do not autoclave DTT or solutions containing DTT.
