The Mini Select-D G-50 microcentrifuge spin columns are a high-performance solution for rapid purification of nucleic acids in small-volume molecular biology workflows. Designed for efficiency and speed, these DNase- and RNase-free columns retain up to 95% of unincorporated nucleotides (NTPs) while recovering over 90% of DNA fragments longer than 72 base pairs and over 80% of RNA molecules longer than 72 bases. Ideal for desalting and removing unincorporated radiolabeled dNTPs from 5’ end-labeling or fill-in labeling reactions, the columns are also suitable for recovering RNA from free rNTPs and purifying nucleic acids for a wide range of downstream applications.

Each sterile spin column is pre-filled with Sephadex G-50 in TE buffer, ready for immediate use in DNA or RNA cleanup protocols. After a brief centrifugation step, purified nucleic acid is recovered with no significant change in sample volume, preserving the integrity and concentration of your nucleic acids. The optimal loading volume per column is 20 microliters, with a maximum capacity of 20 micrograms of DNA or RNA, making it well-suited for high-sensitivity protocols and radiolabeling techniques. The product includes two autoclavable, nuclease-free collection tubes per column to maintain sample purity from start to finish.
