IBI’s Trypto Soy Agar is a general growth medium prepared with or without blood or enrichments. It is used for the isolation of different strains of fastidious microorganisms.
Store at room temperature (less than 30⁰C), tightly sealed, and protect from moisture and light.

Formula per Liter
● Casein Digest Peptone 15.0 gm
● Agar 15.0 gm
● Papaic Digest of Soybean Meal 5.0 gm
● Sodium Chloride 5.0 gm
Preparation
Mix 40.0 grams of the medium in one liter of purified water until evenly dispersed. Heat with repeated stirring
and boil for one minute to dissolve completely. Distribute and autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes. To prepare
5 to 10% blood agar by adding the appropriate volume of sterile defibrinated blood to melted sterile agar medium
cooled to 45-50°C. For chocolate agar; prepare single strength agar medium and cool to 45-50°C after sterilization.
Add 5 to 10% sterile defibrinated blood and heat to 80°C for 10 minutes.
