The SH-3000 electrophoresis power supply is specifically designed for use in nucleic acid sequencing but will also perform separation of DNA and RNA, RFLP, DNA fragmentation, preparative PAGE electrophoresis, and protein separations. The SH-3000 has 3 outputs which allows the user to run three gels, with the same run parameters, simultaneously.

The SH-3000 also has an automatic cross-over function that gives the user flexibility in choosing which run parameter is best suited for the application, applied voltage, amperage or wattage/power.

The SH-3000 is compact and lightweight, maximizing valuable lab bench space and providing ease of mobility.

Trouble Shooting Issues *Power Supply “Fault” – this is due to an incomplete circuit. Somewhere there is a bad wire, loose wire, or loose connection. Make sure everything is completely plugged in. Otherwise, there is “leakage current.” This system produces X amount of current which leaves the power supply through one cord and that same amount of current must return to the power supply through the other cord. If there is less current returning, there is a leak somewhere, so the system shuts down/faults. *Low Current – May need to increase the voltage in order to overcome the Resistance/Impedance of the gel and buffer. (Only one parameter can be set at a time…the other will seek its level based on the amount of Impedance/Resistance.) However, this will increase heat. Therefore, ice cubes should be added or the re-circulation port should be used to cool the buffer, etc.
