300 V Electrophoresis Power Supply (120 V Input)
- 120 vac input voltage
- 300 vdc – 400 ma output
- Fault detection, 500 ua current leakage detection, no-load auto shut down.
- Power failure alarm with automatic re-start at current values.
- Now with 4 outputs.
The NEW SH-300XL electrophoresis power supply is designed for use in the separation of DNA and RNA, blotting DNA fragmentation, immunoelectrophoresis, and protein separations. Now with FOUR outputs, the SH-300XL allows the user to run FOUR gel boxes, with the same run parameters simultaneously. The input voltage for the SH-300XL is 120 vac 50/60 Hz.
The SH-300XL has an automatic cross-over function that gives the user flexibility in choosing which run parameter is best suited for the application, applied voltage, or amperage.
The SH-300XL is compact and lightweight, maximizing valuable lab bench space and providing ease of mobility.
The SH-300XL is also available in 220 V input voltage and is CE marked. See SH-300XL-220

Trouble Shooting Issues *Power Supply “Fault” – this is due to an incomplete circuit. Somewhere there is a bad wire, loose wire, or loose connection. Make sure everything is completely plugged in. Otherwise, there is “leakage current.” This system produces X amount of current which leaves the power supply through one cord and that same amount of current must return to the power supply through the other cord. If there is less current returning, there is a leak somewhere, so the system shuts down/faults. *Low Current – May need to increase the voltage in order to overcome the Resistance/Impedance of the gel and buffer. (Only one parameter can be set at a time…the other will seek its level based on the amount of Impedance/Resistance.) However, this will increase heat. Therefore, ice cubes should be added or the re-circulation port should be used to cool the buffer, etc.
