IBI Carbenicillin Disodium is a semi-synthetic antibiotic which interferes with cell wall synthesis of gram negative bacteria by inactivating transpeptidases on the inner surface of the cell membrane. Carbenicillin displays low toxicity to plant tissues.

IBI Carbenicillin is commonly used as a selective antibiotic for resistiveAgrobacteriumandE. coliat typical concentrations of 100 – 500 ug/ml in water.

A stock solution of antibiotics dissolved in H2O should be sterilized by filtration through a 0.22-micron filter.

IBI Carbenicillin Disodium Salt is packaged in a small glass amber bottle and shipped on blue ice packs via UPS Blue (2-day service). This means that the product will ship Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, orders placed after Noon on Wednesday will be held until the following Monday.
